1. Remember that there is NO REHEARSAL, next Tuesday, October 15th. Please use the week to listen to the rehearsal aids (available on our website in the Members Only section, password CASD) and practice on your own. Know what part you are singing when, and mark your msuic (in pencil) accordingly.
2. On Monday, October 14, at 7:30 pm, Organ at Davidson presents members of the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra performing works of Biber. This concert, held in the Sanctuary at DCPC, is free, with donations gratefully accepted. This is the concert series we will be performing in on February 10th.
3. This week we rehearsed Musicological Journey #9-12, Crystal Spheres, Rejoice in The Lamb (up to page 13), Wild Bells, Gaudete, Fum3, and Gloria. In general, when rehearsing both as a group and individually, respect the rhythms and rests, as it is much harder to try to break back habits later on then to not develop them in the first place. If you found yourself missing notes and rhythms in any of these, please take the next week to firm them up. Take special time to listen to the recordings of both Brittens (Rejoice in The Lamb and Festival Te Deum) with score in hand. The more familiar your ear is with both these pieces, the less alien they will seem.
4. If you have not paid your dues/music fees, please do so.
